Wait!

Light prevailed yet justice did not run down like water

Hope was given yet righteousness did not flow like a stream

Love has finally waxed cold, now comes the brewing storm

Fear and darkness have taken centre stage, ready to perform

The fowls of the air take cover

As the air fuels a whirlwind of anger

Now evil has mastered focus

Famine and plagues swarm the earth like locust

Woe! unto those who suck breast

For the ages, has set man on his final quest

The heart of man has deepened in sorrow

Hope now hollow, no word of joy is swallowed

Woe! unto the man who built his house upon the sand

Verily I say unto you; he will cry a silent laughter as the great day of slaughter is at hand

It is as if a man did flee from a lion, and a bear met him

Or went into the house, and leaned his hand on the wall, and a serpent bit him

It is a day when men shall cry, “let the mountains and hills cover us”

For who can stand against the wrath of God, he turns the wickedness of man back to dust

As the saints cry out for His presence

The Holy One of Israel comes with an eye of vengeance

Woe! unto those who heard the gospel and turned away

It would have been better for them not to hear, then to hear and go astray

Of them the proverbs are true: “A dog returns to its vomit”

Like the Sodomites, they will be consumed by a scorching comet

For the word of the Lord is sharper than any two-edged sword

Heaven and earth will pass, but not the word of the Lord

Will calamity be upon you?

For the gospel spoken is true

Where have you laid your bed?

And, have you perceived what has been said?

Mankind, ponder these things in your heart, troubling times are ahead

But, do not be afraid, for those who have heard will be led

For the gospel spoken is true

God is love, and His beloved bride is you
